It is with a mix of excitement and sadness that I am announcing that I will no longer be working as an environmental consultant.  I have recently accepted the position as the administrator of the Green Lake Sanitary District.  This is an opportunity I had hoped for someday in the future but circumstances presented it this spring.  I will miss working on so many wonderful lakes this summer - Chute Pond, Spring Lake, the Cloverleaf Lakes, Shawano Lake, Eagle Lake, Delavan Lake, LacLaBelle, Lake Nagawicka, Huron Lake, Fox Lake, Beaver Dam Lake, etc.  Thank you to all who have supported my business over the past 18 years.  I truly appreciate it.

This decision has left me in a position to find a replacement for the work I had lined up this year.  I have spent much time on this issue.  I have a wonderful recommendation for my replacement.  Jack Shead is the owner of Native Shores Nursery in Neshkoro, WI.  I have been buying plants from him for several years and I truly enjoy working with him.  He is an avid outdoorsman; he has a true love of nature.  As I’ve debated who I would be comfortable transitioning my business to, Jack was the person I kept coming back to.    Jack was raised on the edge of a 12,000-acre State Wildlife Area, where his passion for wildlife and wetlands was born. After earning his Wildlife Ecology and Management degree (with an emphasis in wetlands) from UW-Stevens Point, Jack apprenticed at an aquatic nursery before starting Native Shores Nursery, LLC in 2012. Native Shores produces aquatic plants native to Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest.  He considers himself more than just a plant installer. He has a lot invested in his plants.  He watches them emerge from seeds and wants them to continue thriving long after they’re planted on project sites.  Jack has been involved in plantings for shoreline restoration, wetland mitigation, and rain gardens.  Jack has said that being able to watch a seed germinate and end up reducing erosion, managing nutrient flow and enhancing the beauty of a shoreline is one of his delights.   I know Jack to be very hard working and dedicated to what he does.  I’m excited to see my projects come to fruition with his guidance.   Jack's contact info is listed below.  Thank you for your understanding of my situation.  I’ve loved being a shoreline consultant for the past 18 years.  I’m happy to know that the 300+ projects I’ve been involved with will continue benefiting WI lakes for many years to come.   Thanks,   Lisa
